Monday played more Dynasty Warriors Origins and found another special accessory reward mission to take on. Being able to use a horse in combat makes things go much faster since I can ride across the battlefield quickly that way. I did a few skirmishes as well to tackle all but one of the optional side quest training missions. Also using a horse in battle gets the horse experience and it can level up to gain special abilities too which is kind of cool.
Tuesday more cutscenes to cover the story and a main battle for the story. I also found a new weapon type to start struggling with leveling up using. I then did the optional side conversation to get more training missions having finished off the last one I had left during the battle.
Wednesday took on the special mission available to get the accessory and while I was at it get 2 of the 3 training missions completed during the battle. I then watch cutscenes and fight an epic two phase battle. The second phase is a rather cool boss fight that has different stages to it and I love this part of the game. It feels like I worked up to the point of fighting this particular enemy and they have unique special talents that make them stand out.
Thursday I watched the follow up cutscenes from the battle, I'm glad the XboxSeries has that cool ability to turn it off then turn it back on and it just resumes your game, well some games not all of them can but this one can. I'm glad I had did so the cutscenes are followed up by going to another spot for even more cutscenes that last a bit longer than other ones have. The cutscenes bring about the end of chapter 1 and begins Chapter 2. It all took a while and I spent time reading my new letters at the inn as well. I went to go check out the optional missions and realized I am actually under level for one of them which surprised me. I need to grind some and take on the other optional mission that I'm the exact level for so I saved the game for now.
Friday I went through 2 shelves of books that needed it and finished up my Luigi Lego starter course. I didn't feel like photographing it since it's just a few random small things basically that you can rearrange over and over again. I also finished the first part of my building blocks kit that looks like a Mario scene over a Switch. So the Switch section is done for it. I plan to take a picture of it once I finish all of the sections.
Saturday I felt burnt out from organizing things the day before so I say back with my PSPortal and just mindless tried to make progress in the game Downwell. I feel I'll probably never beat that game but I do try at it sometimes. I like the random factor to each playthrough and how simple the gameplay is. You fall and try to not get hit by the enemies. Destroying enemies and crystals gives points to spend in shops to try to help you get further. At the end of each level you get something random that can help also. Furthest I can get is the second section of areas to fall through.
Sunday I worked some more on the building block kit and got halfway through the next section. I felt too tired to play any games and read the book Disrupting the Game by Reggie Fils-Amie. I haven't finished it yet but I like the book so far. I enjoy reading different perspectives in the gaming industry so I had been wanting to get around to reading it.
Free games this week has Legion TD 2 through Epic Games which in case you don't know means Tower Defense so it's one of those games and I love them for some reason. I can waste hours on a tower defense game and not realize it so I'll eventually play this game I'm sure. The new game to get on Amazon Prime Gaming is Venba which I guess is a game where you cook recipes and story plays out through conversations? I really don't know for sure but I like some cooking games so I might try it out eventually.
