My Gaming for the Week of April 14 to 20, 2025

Monday I played more Tales of Graces F Remastered and continued pondering about the scenes from last time in the castle as I left and started back to Lhant. I don't really know what is going on with Richard but I wonder if maybe Richard isn't Richard but like some fake demon thingy? I don't know I can only guess at it for now. I'm sure it is somehow tied to the event in the past when it was said Richard hadn't been there but he had been and appeared passed out at the very least if not dead. Then the weird wolf that could only be hurt using lightning early on as an adult unlocking one of Asbel's B-artes moves via some scene with his hand glowing. That wolf had a similar purple aura to it like the thing that attacked in the past. I'm sure the game will eventually share how it all ties together but for now it's just those bits of information and that Cheria soon after the incident in the past suddenly wasn't sick anymore and around the time Asbel had a glowing hand she did too but she can heal with hers. I'm sure the reappearance of Sophie is tied to it all too in some way. Anyways after fighting Richard that is the end of another chapter so I saved and ended it for the day.
Tuesday Scenes with Sophie afterwards were nice and really developed some personality for her finally which was nice to start off with. Several scenes and lots of drama this time around in general. We seem to be getting along with Hubert again though so that's good I think. Same with Cheria her and Asbel finally discussed the weirdness between the two of them and put it aside. Probably a good thing everyone is kind of getting along well minus Richard he fled after he was defeated before the end of the chapter yesterday. It doesn't look good for Lhant though everywhere around it seems ready to start war and Lhant is stuck right in the middle of it all. It seems everyone wants the Cryas that can be mined there but it just isn't sustainable to try to mine it quickly and to keep mining it could be problematic as well but of course no one wants to care about that besides Hubert and Asbel of course since that is their hometown. Naturally Cheria just doesn't want any fighting and the others seem to not really have an opinion outside of agreeing with Asbel that war isn't helpful at the very least. Now I don't really understand what the Cryas stuff is other than I guess it's what makes things work including weapons so it's important apparently.
Wednesday I took a game break and colored for a bit. Nothing game related but it was fun and relaxing. I decided to go ahead and share what I colored because why not.

Thursday I went and did an optional scene to fill a request unlocking a new title for Cheria. After I wasted time doing that since I like the extra scenes I remembered I needed to dualize stuff so that took a while since I had max of several items and wanted to see what if anything could combine together to make new things. I made some new armor and such but nothing really useful. It probably would have been helpful back when I got the items had I remembered to check, oops. I then started down the way to the port so I can proceed with the story. There was a new scene and I saved it there since I had spent quite a bit of time dualizing.
Friday and Saturday I spent reading video game books instead of playing games. I finished The Secret Lives of Video Games which is really aimed for young readers but it had some interesting information in it that I enjoyed. I also read a good portion of Video Game of the Year which has some interesting picks for what games represent each year and has tons of information about each game covered. The only issue I have with it is the page and font colors hurt my eyes making progress slow when reading it.
Sunday was Easter and after dinner I fell asleep instead of playing games. I think it's just something that comes with holidays I eat a lot and then sleep. I had intended to make progress but was just too sleepy to bother with it.

So digital games I got the new additions to PSPlus with in the classics catalog there being Alone in the Dark 2 and War of the Monsters. I don't know anything about the monster game but I do plan to eventually play the horror game though I don't really expect it to be too scary because it is relatively dated. The regular game catalog added Battlefield 1 which I already have a digital copy of from a previous time it was a PSPlus title so whatever, PlateUp! which is multiplayer mainly so I doubt I play it I tried the Overcooked game in that style of genre that has several titles at this point and at some point doing it single player is near impossible and just bothered me too much to bother with it anymore since I have no one to play the game with, and then there is Hogwarts Legacy which I own on XSeries already physically so I'll probably play it on that but it is a good title to own at least. Okay the Epic Games Store has Botanicula which is some odd puzzle game that I might check out I'm undecided I tend to not play as many puzzle games anymore preferring to just take it easy in my gaming. Amazon Prime Gaming had a title repeat that I already own from previously having it as the free game Genesis Noir not to mention having the physical premium edition on Switch but okay whatever. There were some other titles though with Wild Country onto GOG which looks like an interesting card based strategy board game of some sort. It definitely is something I'll try to remember to check out if I ever have the chance. There was also for GOG via Amazon Prime Gaming The Last Spell which is a roguelite strategy rpg that looks interesting. Then the only other interesting looking one was Gloomhaven for Epic Games Store via the Amazon Prime Gaming which is a strategy rpg that I actually do want to play eventually. I just am not sure when since I believe it's a long game, I mean howlongtobeat.com has it as a poor estimate of 176 to complete which means it's probably way longer than that and I try to complete any rpg I play.
