My Gaming for the Week of February 24 to March 2, 2025

Monday I resumed playing Genso Manège working on Serge's route. He makes me giggle a lot at how clueless he seems to be and it makes for some adorable interactions now that I've reached the end of Chapter 4. He kind of reminds me of Kent from Amnesia Memories in a small way. There has been an interesting reveal about him too already to explain why he's so devoted to Hugo. I'm curious to learn more about how they ended up meeting and am excited to see Serge learn how to not be so focused on Hugo all the time.
Tuesday I got the backstory of Serge and something for the protagonist to agonize over until the end of the route. I'm sure she can do what she has in mind though based on Hugo's route. I have to of course keep reading to see it occur though. I also realized the Rêve endings is a reference to the name of the amusement park since Serge said something along the lines of being tied to the Rêve and I was like wait the name of the amusement park has Rêve in it so it doesn't mean dream ending it is an ending tied to the park or more specifically the carousel really but still. After all it is referred to as the park of dreams several times I just didn't catch on until now.
Wednesday I was thrilled that the Hamelin phenomenon (yes it's a reference to the pied piper fairy tale) is being discussed but am also concerned whether or not something will happen to the protagonist because of it. The details are still vague though with not enough being covered but I'm so close to the end of the route so maybe it'll be covered in the ending. At least I hope so I want to know the cause of the disappearances since there is a rough guess as to the cause of the deaths and it's rather tame. It's not a huge spoiler so I guess I can share the people already were sick and dying so the magic of the park attracted them which makes sense based on Hugo's route that I won't share the details of because that is a spoiler.
Thursday I was totally right didn't actually take to route end it was late Chapter 7 that the information is revealed and it's totally terrible what is going on with the disappearances. This route had the danger and drama I craved from the game. I get why it is second since you need Hugo's route to understand the ending in this one for the good ending yet I enjoyed this route more. Also the missing CG in Hugo's route was a glitch I went back through and grabbed it into the game's files for the extra category to be able to completed before going on to seek the bad or Reve ending for Serge.
Friday I couldn't bring myself to start the next route still very upset from the Reve ending for Serge. It was beyond sad and I wasn't ready to start the next route yet. I needed a happiness break so I just watched some youtube videos. Saturday I started up Crier's route well the beforehand stuff anyways since there are 3 chapters to get through first. Crier is also available from the start just yet again going with the developer recommended order.
Sunday finally into Crier's route he's adorable when he isn't being stubborn and mean towards the protagonist. I look forward to seeing them interact more. Plus I really want to know what his story is though I have a guess at what it might be.

There were 2 digital games that I might eventually get to playing this week via Amazon Prime gaming. I got a code on GOG of Deus Ex Human Revolution which looks interesting. I've not touched any of the Deus Ex games but I probably would like them as far as I can tell from screenshots. The other game I've never even heard of was for Epic Games Store through Amazon Prime gaming called Redemption Reapers. The screenshots remind me of the Dragon Age series with the tactical combat view and how everything has like this dark overtone. I don't know but it looks cool so I'll probably check it out sooner than later since the art and gameplay both appeal to me.
