Long title this time as I need to figure out a title and have to update what I'll be posting. So I kind of mentioned it on youtube in this video here. I'm going to start posting most likely once a week what I've been playing and thinking about games I'm working on and mention any digital game purchases on here since I cover all my physical games only on youtube without mentioning the digital purchases there. I'll also mention any games I got free like on Epic Games Store if I plan to play it otherwise I'll just skip over it.
I first want to do a brief update catch up what I've got digitally last month that I still remember anyways. I got the Yakuza series on Playstation store while it was on sale since I had a few titles through Playstation Plus but not all of them and the series really looks like something I'd thoroughly enjoy when I get the time to play it. I pre-ordered and got Dynasty Warriors Origins on XBOXSeries X (I have an X so I can use discs I prefer physical media) it was slightly cheaper on Gamestop with my pro membership to get it digitally and while I would like a physical copy it's a game I'm in no hurry to play so I just got the cheaper digital copy so I know I have it when I'm ready to pick it up. I find when I have a physical copy laying around, I try to push myself to play the game even when I'm not ready to play it so digital is the better way to go here. I got Dungeon Siege on sale on Steam since I already own a physical copy of II and III so I figured I should get the first title finally; I also have some spin off on PSP but that's beside the point. Only free title I was interested in is Ender Lilies Quietus of the Knights on Epic Games Store, so I made sure to grab it. I pre-ordered YS Memoire: The Oath in Felghana on Switch and talked about it in the video I linked since I did beat it. I also pre-ordered Genso Manège on Switch which I plan to try to get to this month if I can I'm very intrigued to see how the endings and routes work since I know there are Rêve endings which means Dream and Amour endings which means Love. I plan to follow Otome Kitten's online walkthroughs to get all the endings and CGs in the game. She's my personal favorite online blog to follow for otome walkthroughs so that I can get all the endings.
This week I got YS Origin on sale on the Nintendo Eshop since I had some gold points built up from physical game purchases. I had liked the gameplay of the other YS game I had beat so I figured I'd give the title that first in the chronological storyline to see if I like that story better and grabbed it now since it's on sale.
As I figured I would I played some more of the Hello Kitty and Friends Happiness Parade and managed to make a little progress but ultimately am stuck with 2 characters and one ending still locked on levels I would spend hours more on to accomplish and it's just not fun anymore. The game is officially retired as howlongtobeat.com calls it. I might one day try again but for the foreseeable future I'm done with it.
Having put that game aside I went to playing Super Mario RPG the Switch remake version of course. In my first play session on Monday after giving up on the Hello Kitty game I managed to get the 3rd star and find the hidden new character that will for frog coins give missed enemy entries in the records that Mallow can get. I went ahead and grabbed some because I figured why not since it was already late and I was wrapping up play for the night. Tuesday after wasting time getting hidden treasure on the way to fight Booster and getting mad at Snifter enemies I made it through the tower and into the next area.
Wednesday I finally caught up with Peach and went back to the Toad that is a Chancellor or something like that. I also found out you can get a mini game from the Toad that is playing a handheld game so I got that and tried at it until my hand went numb so I'll go back to it later on. For a mini game it is very fun and addictive I easily spend half an hour trying to beat the high score before I gave it up for the time being. I ended with getting another star which was oddly easy to get.
I took off Thursday from gaming as I was replacing my bed and had to put the frame together. On Friday I learned you get nothing for a high score in the Beetle Mania mini game so it is just a fun distraction I guess. I made it onto the sunken ship and briefly forgot that you have to use special moves or items to deal with dry bones wasting some time in a battle wondering why they wouldn't go down before I remembered.
Saturday I began with trying to note down the hints for some password. Has an S, sea floor, two vowels, valuable, it is a they, R before L. Several battles later I got the star temporarily lost the star then got the star again so that I only need 2 more stars. Then Sunday I worked on a lego set from Christmas and didn't play any.
The free digital games didn't really interest me any besides Bioshock Infinite complete edition via Amazon Prime membership it was a GOG code. I already have the base game on PSN but complete edition I think has some extra stuff. I most likely will play that version in the future but it probably won't be anytime soon.
