This game is a mini game / board game compilation game based on the anime Kimetsu no Yaiba Demon Slayer. It seems based on the character list in the credits to up to date through the latest arc with the Hashira training (or however you spell it). I have only ever typically played the Warioware titles that are like this since the Mario Party ones seem to require multiplayer to do everything... I have yet to see how this one will work out but I love the anime so I per-ordered this game. (and am just now finally getting around to playing it haha)
The game has 2 main modes of play with one being the board game and the other being a mini game collection called Skill Training to play through. There is a section to keep track of everything unlocked and yet to unlock as playing the board game and the mini games gets items to use in the raffle lottery option to unlock more things. Some of the unlocks have to do with use in the board game and the others are for the player card (more on it in a moment). The collections center also has titles listed along with how to unlock them. From what I can tell only 2 require a second player so I'll start with getting everything but those 2 for now. It also revealed from the requirements listed for the titles that all the demon slayer corps characters should be playable and that there are 5 boards at least. It seems each board has a theme around a specific set of events in the anime and a specific character to play as to do them for a special title to unlock.
The multiplayer does allow for online play. This is where the player card comes in. There are no titles associated with doing so which means I won't bother with it, but you can trade cards online. The card can have any avatar image you have unlocked on it, and you can change the background and frame according to what you unlocked as well. The card also shows how many board games you've won so far.
The specifics all looked into I decided best thing to do is to start the first game with CPU and go from there. There are 12 characters to choose from, so I know there is a title for doing something with Tanjiro, so I'll start with him for now and how I do whatever it was since I didn't write it down haha. While I get why Nezuko isn't playable I still wish she was, and it lets you choose any of the 5 boards right from the start how nice. CPU difficulty ranges from Easy to Hashira (I did spell it right yay me~) so umm Normal I guess is what I'll stick with for now. I'll start by doing each board once for now as Tanjiro.
Awe; in board one at night Nezuko joins whoever is in last place to help them. The random events and mini games are pretty fun too. I'm enjoying all the anime references so far. There is a mini game at each daytime turn end and one when the demon is located and seen during nighttime. The demon ones are pretty much all the same, but the daytime ones are very varied in what they are. I chose to have 30 turns to extend what could occur.
